It was a magical evening in Port Credit as the sno It was a magical evening in Port Credit as the snowflakes fell for the lighting of the Christmas tree at the Port Credit Skate Trail in Memorial Park. Hot apple cider, a DJ, carollers, Beaver Tails, a visit from Santa and the Snow Queen, along with Mississauga Mayor Carolyn Parrish, councillor Stephen Dasko, MP Charles Sousa, MPP Rudy Cuzzetto and other dignitaries highlighted the tree lighting event. Port Credit had never looked more magical!

It was a beautiful, clear Saturday night and the t It was a beautiful, clear Saturday night and the turnout was fantastic. The Collingwood Santa Claus parade was magical but the tree lighting afterwards left onlookers scratching their heads and social media lit up with negativity towards a tree decorating faux pas that looked like someone had thrown a fishing net grid of lights over the gorgeous tree and called it a day. BUT Collingwood BIA came through with a beautiful redo thanks to donations from the local Canadian Tire and the townspeople are once again proud of their beautiful historical town by bay. Good times last week at Sting who rarely disappoin Good times last week at Sting who rarely disappoints kicked off the 3.0 Tour playing 5 nights at the iconic Massey Hall! Overall a decent set list although would have like to hear Synchro II and Hounds of Winter. I give this show a 7 out 10 on the Sting scale.

What a sensational way to end the vacay! Two crazy What a sensational way to end the vacay! Two crazy days in one of Britain’s legendary music and footy centres. It was a major contrast to 11 days in the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors but WOW! The Manchester marathon, FA cup celebrations and premier league championship parade created an influx of enthusiasm, combines with a walking tour of museums, university alley, the gay village, the northern quarter, cathedral and a walk passed the site where the world famous Hacienda night club once stood (24 hour party people) all capped off an amazing trip to old blighty. #manchester
Our final hike began with a long climb from a beau Our final hike began with a long climb from a beautiful old railway station, across moors and some boggy farmer’s fields before the final 8km or so across spectacular coastline as the sun finally showed it itself before the descent into the town of Robin Hood’s Bay. Thankfully all six of us were able to complete the magical journey without any major mishaps! #coast2coast2024
#coast2coast2024 Reeth to Richmond started with lo #coast2coast2024 Reeth to Richmond started with local ice cream and a stroll through yet another several sheep farms with most having recently given birth to adorable lambs. Richmond is a beautiful market town with a castle, a Georgian Theatre, arts centre and more. Here we also enjoyed local Indian, Chinese and home cooked meals as well as watched a little footy as the mighty Arsenal defeated Everton only to lose the league by two measly points. Boo!

This was one of the more challenging days with fog This was one of the more challenging days with foggy and very boggy conditions at the #ninestandardsrigg at one point went in up to my knee and the rain caused issues with phone nav but aside from that another incredible day on the #coast2coast . Of course the #yorkshiresheppardess was not serving cream tea at the end but we learned from her neighbour of a new show coming up on Channel 4 about a heritage reno of a nearby farmhouse using all the traditional methods from several hundred years ago.
A beautiful day for this walk that started off at A beautiful day for this walk that started off at an impressive stone circle then across an expansive moor of somewhat dormant Heather, then on to a prehistoric sight where a village settlement once existed before headed down across Smardale Bridge with views of Smardale gill viaduct followed by spectacular views of the Pennines before arriving at Kirkby Stephen, a market town dating back to AD685.
